In fact, you may even find a 1-hour tutorial that seems very complete and covers all you need to know in order to make your advertising profitable.
You, some of my customers, and I personally have been in the same situation.
Actually, certainly more than a million business owners worldwide pass through this exact direction in order to start their very first paid ads on social media.
Let me explain to you something that you might not be aware of, using some numbers; Google was earning $237.86 billion in 2023 only thanks to their advertising services.
Meta, which includes Facebook and Instagram, was earning
$131.95 billion, the same year, also only from their advertising services.
It is difficult to estimate the number of businesses that have run successful, profitable ads on those platforms, but different sources mention that only about 20% of all the ads have been.
Which leads to this last number : 80% of ads are not profitable enough compared to the budget that business owners choose to spend.
I've met a few business owners who have had a bad experience with social media advertising, so bad that some even completely abandoned using it at all.
They've spent tens, hundreds, thousands of dollars, watching tutorials, paid courses, and some even hired social media agencies claiming to be specialists in it.
What made those ads fail?
What I've seen, and for me, what is the most common reason, is that there are so many missing crucial points when business owners are making those ads.
Yes, they followed correctly the 1-hour brand new tutorial. But what they didn't know is that those articles, trainings, and videos are not complete enough in order to set ads that will perform.
Although those videos & tutorials actually teach you correctly how to set up Facebook Ads, they 99% of the time never talk about how to make your ads profitable!
They don't teach that before even creating your ad, you need to pass business verification that can take as long as 48 hours for Meta.
Also, you will need to link your website pages with the advertising platform in order for it to detect people coming to your landing page.
That includes a bit of coding. According to your website provider, the configuration might be easier or harder to do.
Another big problem that business owners tend to face is that they do not track what is happening when a potential customer coming from an ad is doing.
Even Meta Ads Events Manager suggests setting what they call an "event" can reduce ad costs by 50%. Yes, fifty percent.
It isn't important to know what people are doing, where they are clicking, how long they stayed on a certain page, ... ?
If you see that, for example, 85% of visitors are staying less than 5 seconds on your website, it means that there is a real problem. How can you know that without proper tracking? I don't know either.
There are a lot of things to do in order to make a successful ad that we, at Advizera International, have learned by experience and research.
